These terms explain the rules for using Hynestein, including its website, AI study tools, and browser extension. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your account
Keep your sign-in information secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity through your account. Contact us if you believe someone else has accessed it. If you are not able to agree to these terms on your own, ask a parent or guardian to review them with you before using Hynestein.
Your class material
You may upload or sync material that you have permission to use. You keep your rights to your material. You give Hynestein permission to process it only as needed to provide the study tools you choose, including AI tutor responses, quizzes, flashcards, and progress tracking. Do not upload material that violates another person's rights or privacy.
Study help
Hynestein helps you study; it does not replace your teacher, school instructions, or your own judgment. AI responses can be incomplete or wrong. Check important answers against your class sources and follow your school's rules for assignments and academic honesty. The browser extension imports selected class information and does not submit or change your schoolwork.
Acceptable use
Do not use Hynestein to break the law, infringe rights, harass others, disrupt the service, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours. We may limit or end access when necessary to protect users or the service, or when these terms are violated.
Privacy and changes
Our Privacy page explains how information is handled. We may change the service or these terms. When we update the terms, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
